Learning to be...

I undertake the ominous task of forgiving the one who betrayed me.  He was my one true love.  I used to melt into his embrace as he would hold me close.  He could ignite a fire in me that would inspire me to reach for the impossible.  
Now I only long to commune with him again.  To cuddle in his strong arms and bask in his attention.  
The hurt begins to dissipate and I have hope in the future.  I am learning that life is about being.  Being present, being confident, being kind, being my best - even without him.
